Unitled' wall vase by Ulrik Weck is inspired by Italian cemeteries. Weck was investigating how to put flowers on graveyards if the tombstone is horizontal instead of vertical - his result was making a hanging wall vase.

About: Ulrik Weck (b. 1972) lives and works i Denmark and is educated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Weck's works varies from installations to sculptures and paintings and he is a common user of various materials from neon signs, soccer balls, bricks and woods. Ulrik Weck is an artist mainly working with objects he finds on the street and transforms into art.
In May 2016 Ulrik Weck together with British artist Nathaniel Rackowe exhibited in Etage Projects with the show Low Fidelity - an exhibition exploring the fine line between art and design. Furthermore the duo-exhibition was also critically paying attention to and commenting on the difference between art and everyday objects, and how objects transform and loose their initial purpose.
